William Baker
Dr. William Baker graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He began developing Equine Associates in 1989. Reproduction is Dr. Baker’s primary interest and aside from routine breeding and stallion collections, he performs embryo transfer procedures and is eminently involved with advanced reproductive techniques including follicular aspiration. He is primarily in charge of the reproduction center housing stallions for service and mares for breeding and embryo transfer. Dr. Baker has a special interest in equine podiatry, namely laminitis. He performs the corrective shoeing for the patients presented to the hospital and referrals from colleagues. Dr. Baker has earned a great respect by many for his lameness diagnosis and treatment expertise. Dr. Bakers hobbies include golf, hunting, blacksmithing, and motorcross racing.

Jennifer Joy Baker, DVM
Dr. Jennifer Joy Baker graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. She completed an Equine Internship at Peterson and Smith Equine Hospital in Ocala, Florida in the fall of 1987. She then completed an Equine Anesthesia Residency Program followed by a Large Animal Internal Medicine Residency Program in 1990. Her primary interests include equine internal medicine, neonatology, ophthalmology, and emergency medicine. She is primarily in charge of anesthesia for surgical cases and the hospitalized medicine cases. She and Dr. William Baker joined forces in 1990 to establish their private practice in Hawkinsville, Georgia. The Drs Baker have two young girls Taylor (12) and Jordan (8). Dr. Baker’s hobbies include riding her Quarter Horses, raising Australian Shepherds, landscaping, and spending time with the girls.
